Start the new year off right by joining devotees from Utah on this pilgrimage to the holy dhamas of Mayapur and Vrindavan! This is not your typical sight-seeing tour of India. We will visit ISKCON and other Vaisnava temples, participate in kirtan, hear from senior devotees, do parikramas around Vrindavan and Govardhan Hill, walk in the footsteps of the great acharyas (as well as those of Radha and Krishna and Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu), see important historical sites related to Srila Prabhupada's mission, chant, dance, and feast on prasadam. We'll begin our tour in Kolkata and spend a few days in Mayapur before transferring to Vrindavan for a few days.
The $1195 price includes accommodations in Kolkata, Mayapur, and Vrindavan as well as most in-country transportation. You will be guided by Ballava Candra Dasa and some local devotees. The price does not include international airfare to Kolkata and back from Delhi ($1500 - $2000), an in-country flight from Kolkata to Delhi (~$100), most meals (food is often free or very cheap in Mayapur and Vrindavan), rickshaw rides in Mayapur and Vrindavan (very cheap), US passport ($165) or Indian Visa ($40), and tips for local guides and drivers (according to your discretion). You may also want to bring money for a trip to Loi Bazaar to purchase worship paraphernalia and souvenirs. International health and emergency insurance is highly recommended.
